About the event
Two Gemstones in one trip! This is a moderate level difficulty rockhounding trip, (a 2.5 out of 5 for difficulty, most kids could do this one.) We will hike uphill for about an hour, dig around and then hike back down. Though we will look hard for these gemstones, finding them is not guaranteed so keep your eyes peeled as we go.
We will meet at these coordinates at 10am and then begin the hike. 34.222653, -117.667597 (Just copy and past coordinates into google maps.) Also you will probably not get any cell reception out there.
What to bring: water, sun protection, a hammer or rockpick, a collecting back, snack food (remember to pack out any trash) a keen eye and a sense of adventure!
