Come collecting world class jaspers at Lavic California with us! Yellow, Red, Green rocks perfect for collecting, cutting, tumbling or jewelry making. We'll also find agate, and if we are lucky some moss agate as well.

About the event
This is an easy beginner level rockhounding spot, perfect for kids, families, or anyone who doesn't prefer to hike far distances to find nice gemstones. Lavic, California will be the location but the exact meeting spot will be given out in your confirmation email. They will be listed as GPS coordinates, so all you have to do is copy and past them into google maps.
What we hope to find: World class yellow, red, green and orange jaspers, and botryodial agate. But the prize of the day will be the moss and plume agate.
What to bring: Water bottle, food or snacks if you would like (just please remember to take any trash out with you). Sun protection, a collecting bag, a hammer or rock pick, a keen eye and a sense of adventure!
