About the event
On this trip we will be rockhounding for Red Garnets and if you are lucky we may even find some Green Epidote or Rose Quartz too! This is an intermediate level difficulty trip (2.5 out of 5 difficulty level). It's a short hike, but its all uphill. The location of our first stop will be in Riverside California, but the exact meeting spot will be given out in the confirmation email in the form of GPS coordinates so all you have to do is copy and paste them into google maps.
We'll meet at the first spot, hike uphill, collect gems for an hour and hike back down.
What to bring: Water bottle, food or snacks if you would like (just please remember to take any trash out with you). sun protection, a collecting bag, a hammer or rock pick, a keen eye and a sense of adventure!
