Plasma Agate at Clear Creek

Join us for a trip to Clear Creek, CA to find one of the most rare types of agate in the world: Plasma Agate! We will also be looking for Jadeite, Uvarovite (green garnets), Serpentine, Agate, Cinnabar and if you are incredibly lucky, Benitoite, at this world renowned rock collecting location.

About the event
Come rockhound with us at this world class collecting area! We'll be looking for plasma agate, uvoravite (green garnet) serpentine, agate, jadeite, cinnibar, marcasite, and if you are incredibly lucky, blue benitoite crystals that glow under UV light! This place has it all.
Our meeting location will be in Clear Creek, close to Coalinga California, but the exact coordinates of our meeting place will be sent out with the confirmation email in the form of GPS coordinates so all you have to do is copy and paste them into google maps.
IMPORTANT: You will need to purchase a vehicle permit from the cleak creek managament website. That website is here: https://www.recreation.gov/vehiclepermits/250848 . You will need a vehicle pass, and a Serpentine area pass (free). The total cost should come to $17.
